People who have been waiting for I-140 approvals from TSC & NSC and those filed during Jun-Aug 07, please join this campaign to make it effective. Unless people who are suffering, actively participate in this campaign, we will not be able to achieve anything. Its still not too late...get those letters (modify to your personal situation) and get those DHS Form 7001 completed and mail them out soon. We need to act now, instead of just expressing our frustration on the forums...fight for yourself, no one will do it for you. If not, USCIS with the idiotic rules, will our petitions still pending even one year from today...for some or other reason.
My sincere thanks to members who have already mailed the documents. Please leave a comment on this thread, so that we have an idea about how many people actually took the time to send it out.

...welcome to the new nightmare, someone did say something about the grass been green on the other side..now that we are on the other side we wait for 485 to be current while we renew EAD/AP each year, fingerprint every 15 months and aviod the namecheck black hole...maybe this is what they(uscis) wanted after all...a steady income stream...good luck :)

I read in one of the Ron's post -CHc trying to stop even small immigration bills which has no amesty in it.So even the nurse recapture bill is at stake.
So ,I'm sorry -I beleive no one will even touch our case.Apply in EB2 port PD or get new PD either will be helpful .But seeing new backlog for I 140 its terrible.
I might apply for Canadian GC-Having kids here ,man they are adapted to this country living.That's the only thing bothering - kids future.
So this bill this year is at stake for sure.No one cares ...including change-what change there woudnt be any change in new party too.Its all drama going.I lost the trust.Its as if EB3 is not educated.
I'm just wondering-Will this problem be there if it were for ROW-or is it our color...that they dont want to aid.It's sure racism.
How many EB3 are there in total...Who asked them to flood the applications last year? :mad:
Its bloody hell out here.no wonder some people become saddist later half ...who woudnt when they are treated like this from begginning.

There is a link on immigrationvoie.org website "when can I get my GreenCard" and to my utter shock when I clicked that I got the message that I will get my GC around 2026.
There is a checkbox for spill over visas also, and I selected that thinking that it will move my dates before...but it got moved only till 2024.
So does it really mean that I will get the GC around 2024 or is it just plain maths which doesn't goes practically with the changing scenarios.
Because right now the current PD is Feb'2005 and it looks like withing 2,3 yrs it should reach Dec'2007, but this data is just my guess OR more of intuition, I'm not sure what will happen.
In this forum there are many experienced people, if they can throw some light on this, it would really help. Otherwise things are sounding very depressing !!

Guys as it states both you and your spouse need to have an SSN not ITIN.
So if one has ssn other has ITIN you are not qualified.
The stimulus package is $600 for each member who has an SSN. Therefore if both you and your wife had an SSN you would get $1200. In the case where one spouse has an ITIN, the remaining spouse still is eligible for the $600. As mentioned in this post earlier you can always file 1040X one you receive the SSN for your spouse and claim the additional $600.

When a guy comes to US for education the average age is around 23 - 24 years. MS completed by 25. Most guys at that time have burning desire to do something new and innovative (either in job or starting own business).
And then you lose your libido :). Agreed�. With the delay you lose the golden period in your career and end up at a lower level. Most of the self made millionaires rockstarted young when they had the drive and desire. I still say America gains more than what they lose by delaying GC process. If they hand out GCs faster then who will work for those millionaires and billionaires?.

I think you bring up very valid points. For a lot of ppl who have stayed away from family/extended family for so long, they may not like the constant interference.
"I miss my parents" is not quantifiable but what about the paying back the debt by supporting your aging parents? Let me make the question a little broader, isn't every immigrant divided between doing what's best for the children and supporting the parents?
I dont think one is necessarily doing kids a dis-service by electing to go back. On the contrary, kids experience tremendous personal growth through interaction with extended family which is not possible in a foreign land.

Probably it differs by state, but DL has no ties with H1-B renewal or vice-versa, at least in CA. My wife's H1 expires in Apr 09, but she recently got her DL renewed until Sept. 2012!! If it was a federal law change (after 9/11), it would have to be applied to every state.

yes, try calling the 1800 number and go to the address change, there you will be able to talk to the IO and they will ask you what issue you have (they will not ask for address change)..you can explain your scenario to him/her.
