If Substution labor was ethical, PD porting from EB3 to EB2 is ethical.
Ithink PD Porting might be legal at this time but not ETHICAL.

Some food for thought.
As I understand we (i.e IV) has 21000 members and 14000 active members. If even each active member contrubute $ 20 per month, that would be $ 420,000 per month or about $ 5 Mn per year.
Imagine the miracles that we can do with that kind of fund!! And I am damn sure that we can afford $ 20 per month. Cost of few gallons of gas per month.
Non contributing, active members! Please wake up atleast now and do some soul searching!!!

I doubt it, uscis used up 60k visas in one month just to make sure we dont get any ead, why in the world after doing all this nonsense would they accept our applications.
Well...this is the same argument we gave when we first heard about the July VB rumour in june but no one belived. I hope badluck's lawyer brings us some good luck but this is hard to believe this time.

Hi All,
I just contacted the USCIS customer service regarding my pending AP application filed at NSC on July 24th, 2007. The customer service rep did not provide any useful information other than the usual "case received and pending".
However he did open a service request (SR) for me and advised me that IO will get back to me on the status of my AP application within 30 days and why its getting too long to adjudicate my AP application.
Do any of you have any experience what will happen from now on? Do they really respond within 30 days???

Filed I-485/EAD/AP - July 24th, 2007 - NSC

Ad hominem arguments and irate calls to close the thread do not go a long way in proving your point (as much as I can make out there is one in the first place)
You seem to be a guy from north India who dislikes anything remotely connected to south, or probably you are envious of the strides that south India has taken, anyways I do not care what YOU or Wadhwa says about the quality of education in some parts of the world.
I do not know how this discussion is going to help our cause.

The funny thing is,that as with EAD card,in a day after I subscribed for e-mail update with USCIS they send me e-mail that my AP and family members have been mailed.
LUD on AP Jan 23. AP on hand Jan.28.

Look's like the DOS is trying to maintain a year difference in the priority dates for EB2-I and EB2-C.
My guess for the April 2009 Visa Bulliten is April 1st 2004 for EB2-I and April 1st 2005 for EB2-China.

Some unused EB #s were recaptured for families in following year. For example, in 1994 there were 29,430 (column 2) unused EB #s. However, 27,721 (= 253,721 (column 3) - 226,000 (family quota)) of these #s were recaptured for families. Thus, only 29,430 - 27,721 = 1,709 (column 4) were un-recaptured.
Also, 50,000 unused EB #s from 01-04 were recaptured for Schedule A.

There is no doubt about NRIs are the prime reason for the real estate boom in India. It is tottally unbelivable that 2 bedroom flat in a normal second class town has gone to up to 40 lakes. Decent independent houses are in terms of crores in small cites. Two factors. One is foreign money and second in black money from local dadas/politicians. Also demand vs supply. The availble land is small and demand for that land is too high due to these two gropus.
I visited one of my NRI friends house in India, where he is not going to live as he is a US citizen. His parents already won two houses and they bought another house as a investment. This house in a recent development area in a small town where there is no high tech employment is avialable; In my feeling it may not worth 5 lakes; they were selling at 45 lakes. Even if anyone ready to pay 45 lakes there is no unit is avialable; everything was sold to NRIs. No resident won the houses in that area. All the dads and mos are baby sitting the houses. Renting alos not that easy. It is tottally unbelivable. I wonder why all the NRIs buying house in India and increisng the house price? The guys working here (or any part of the world) and not going to live in India, why government should allow to buy the house and increse the price? Everyone tries to do real estate bussiness there. That is the main reason for price increase.
Is is sad. All these NRIs are going to learn a very valuable lesson. Speculation is not a good strategy for investing. A lot learned that in the past few months here in USA. In a year we will be seeing the full blown post bubble correction in India. If one can rent an apartment for 15,000 why would one buy it for 50 lakhs. The interest alone on 50 lakhs is 50,000 every month. It is like buy and rent it and loose money. Instead why don't they deposit in a bank and get 50,000 every month:confused:
