My Lawyer filed 20 cases for labor since January '07. None have neen approved yet as of today.

I don't think so, all centers which handle 485s will look at the application delivered date as the the RD.
I was asking this because some agencies consider the post marked date as the date the appllication was filed. But thanks for the response

Is it legal to pass the fee hike to the employee? or is it like the Fraud Prevention fee which is illegal to be passed on to the employee..?
this will change the equation until companies assimilate this in and find the work around! well, it definitely eats into their 'profit' i guess!

PERM is only for the Primary applicant. For I-485 every dependent of Primary applicant needs one separate application
Considering all these 750,000 I-485 filings in next 1 month sounds a reasonable estimate.

actually people are already complacent ..eb2 is in joy and waiting impatiently, eb3 people have given up hope and there is not much news from core. people may not like my post but that is the fact

The notion "If you enter back on H1B, your GC process is abandoned" is utterly wrong. AP is an interim benefit which you may or may not use. Actually there are few people who never applied for EAD/AP due to various reasons....
Your 485 is just not impacted no matter you use your EAD/AP or h1B while reentering!

I wonder what will happen with our cases. My husband has a PD Oct 2003, EB2 ROW, but thanks to PBEC, it got approved in Jan 2007. Our RD is March 2007, TSC, concurrent. Got AP in April and EAD in May. No LUD on 485 after FP, 04/25/2007.
One more question: How many wives are here? It looks like some guys would rather let this matter to the ladies to handle.:D

Wow ... Although I am not in consulting business so dont know all the fundas, but what seems interesting to me is "making 100K from 100~200K from active trading and investing in other areas". So I can make 50K if I have 50-100K to invest. Pretty hefty returns :D.. I wish we could chat over the lunch or something
It is not a big deal dude...if not for this immigration system, we could be making even more..think about $80-$100/hr if you are an independent contractor. This a minimum for a decent contract with vendor directly.
And if you have ~100-200K for investments, with some experience and any luck..you could be making another 100K out of it from trading and active investing in other areas. That comes to ~250-300K minimum. There are no bounds when life is free and in this great country. Unfortunately, things have turned discriminative and our potentials are being restricted(atleast for non-EAD guys) and you have to be prepared for getting outright kicked out of this country.

We just need 20,000 active members to make a change, which is approx 10% of the total number of GC apps pending. At the most 2000 people are active.
If somebody can being in 20,000 active members to this forum, the change will happen.
I dont think all the 20,000 members need to be active every day or every week. What is that you are expecting them to be active every day. If we are not able to pull the crowd, it is not the inability of the crowd but the leadership. Crowd whether it is Indian or other is always like that. It is the effective leadership that makes the difference. For example if you take Martin Luther King, Gandhi or for that matter any leader, it is their speeches/actions that inspired people to involve in the movement not just the people came all by themselves.

Given That All Dates Are Now Current And There Will Be Hundreds Of I-485 Filings By August 17, Will The Uscis Process Them In Order Of The Original Labor Cert Priority Date Or The Date Of Receipt Of The I-485 Filing Itself?
